The telemedicine framework consists of three participant sites with the following requirements

Patients and physician at the point-of-care. At this site, a physician or a patient acquires the relevant information during the clinical intervention using a mobile device and sends it to the information provider or server.

Communication infrastructure between the two. This may include a remote information server that processes and stores information and stores results that can be sent to different providers.

Specialized physicians at provider site that connects to the communication infrastructure and/or information server and gets the results to be analyzed and used in the patient diagnosis.
